Lorem Ipsum is placeholder text commonly used in graphic design, web development, and publishing. It has been the industry's standard dummy text since the 1500s, when an unknown printer scrambled a passage of Latin text.
The text is derived from Cicero's "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (On the Ends of Good and Evil), written in 45 BC. The standard Lorem Ipsum passage starting with "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..." has been in use since the early 1960s.
